Ikora Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Ikora ("Ikora", "the app"), published by WaraSu ("we", "us"), handles information on phones and TVs. It describes the current version of the app. If a future version changes how information is handled, we will update this page before that version is released.

Summary

1. Ikora is a player only

Ikora does not provide, sell or include any channels, movies, shows or other content, and is not affiliated with any provider. You bring your own provider: you add your own playlist or Xtream-compatible server from a source you have the right to use. We do not run, control or endorse any provider and have no access to your provider account.

2. Information stored on your device

Ikora saves the following on your device:

In the current version, this information is not sent to us and we keep no copy on our servers. It is protected by your device's own security. If you use a plain HTTP address, which some providers require, that connection is not encrypted and is at your own risk.

3. Network connections

Streaming and library traffic goes to the provider you configure. Your provider receives the requests your device makes, such as your login and your device's IP address, as with any streaming connection. Your provider's own privacy policy covers how it handles that information.

Artwork and metadata lookups. To show posters and descriptions, the app may look up artwork and metadata from third-party artwork and metadata services, only when needed. These requests contain the title being looked up (taken from your library) and your device's IP address. They do not contain your provider login. The service receiving the request can therefore see that title and IP address. If we rely on a named service, we will name it on this page and show any attribution it requires.

4. Advertising, analytics and tracking

The current version of Ikora shows no ads and includes no analytics, tracking or advertising tools, and it does not use your advertising ID. We do not sell personal information.

Features such as ads, analytics, optional device pairing (for example a QR or code login that passes details between a phone and a TV), purchases, or changes to artwork lookups may be added in the future. Before any such feature is released, we will describe it on this page, including what data is used, why, which third parties receive it, and what choices you have (including consent where the law requires it).

5. Data retention

Data on your device stays there until you remove it (see section 7). We do not hold personal information about you on our servers in the current version. If we receive a privacy request or support email from you, we keep it only as long as needed to respond and for our records, and then delete it.

6. Your rights and privacy requests

We are based in Canada and follow applicable privacy law, including Canada's PIPEDA. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your data, and complain to a regulator. This includes rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR (EEA and UK), Canadian law (including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada) and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA (California). We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Privacy requests: email support@ikora.site with the subject "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days. Because the current version keeps your data on your device, most of it is in your control and not held by us.

7. Deleting your data

Remove a source in the app to delete its saved details and library. Clear the app's data in your device settings, or uninstall the app, to delete everything Ikora has stored on the device. To ask about any data we may hold, use the privacy request route above.

8. Children

Ikora is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires) and is not a kids app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@ikora.site.

9. Security

Our website uses HTTPS. On your device, information is protected by your device's security. Use a secure (HTTPS) address when your provider supports it, and keep your device and provider login safe.

10. International transfers

Our website is hosted by a third-party hosting service that may process visitor requests (such as IP addresses) in other countries, including the United States. The website itself uses no analytics or advertising scripts.

11. Copyright and content complaints

Ikora does not host or provide content, so we cannot remove content from a provider's service. Send complaints about content to the provider. For notices about the Ikora app itself, email support@ikora.site with your name, the work concerned and where the material is located. We respond to valid notices under applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest change, and we will note material changes in the app or its release notes.
